Cathy Diez-Luckie started out making moving figures for her three children to supplement their history studies. When she saw how much fun the children had with them, and how they would play with them again and again, not only to act out historical events but using them in imaginary play, she thought other kids would enjoy them as well.

And so, Figures In Motion was born.

Today, you and your children (or students) can share that excitement! Use the Famous Figures books in the classroom…in study groups…in your homeschool co-op…or at home. What's Next at Figures in Motion?
In addition to the first of the Famous Figures historical action figures series (Famous Figures of Ancient Times), Famous Figures of Medieval Times and Famous Figures of The American Revolution are scheduled for publication in 2011. Famous Figures of the Renaissance and Famous Figures of the Civil War will be next in line. Figures in Motion will be producing several moving animal books, in addition to DINOSAURS on the Move. The next animal book will be ANIMALS Running Wild. , a collection of movable animals that are in danger of vanishing from the earth.
